Ken Dorsey presents Software Defined Radio at Akron Linux Users Group

Today I went to Akron Linux Users Group’s formal meeting where Ken Dorsey presented a talk on basic introduction into Software Defined Radio.

Ken Dorsey will present a basic introduction into Software Defined Radio, the hardware and software available and how to start experimenting with software defined radio using a cheap $20 USB stick. He will demonstrate using a Raspberry Pi as a software defined radio system that will receive from .5 MHz – 1800 MHz for under $100. This is also relevant for HAMs, Raspberry PI/embedded geeks and electronic hobbyists.
